    The support for macOS devices is planned to be added by the end of this fiscal year. Stay tuned for more updates to come.

Regarding to this page https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/security-compliance-and-identity/announcing-microsoft-defender-for-cloud-apps/ba-p/2835842 it should be available. I set it up on an MAC for testing. Using this guide

I can see now app blocking in MCAS, creating  custom indicators for blocking the sites for Macos when you have network protection on Macos enabled. your defender for the endpoint should be an external version(insider preview ) to keep working network protection.

In short it is blocking the sites of particular app, but not the application
