Anonymize sensitive data

Hello everybody,

I'm trying to anonymize user data on Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS).

 

Following the https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cloud-app-security/cloud-discovery-anonymizer I've enabled the anonymize flags in the MCAS settings panel.

These are my configuration:

 

Unfortunately, after a couple of hours, I still can see in plaintext the field User. Here you can see some logs under my Activity Log panel.

 

Am i missing some configurations or steps?
How long should I wait before the anonymization is enabled?

  • Hi Timmy,
    the anonymization feature is only for the cloud discovery data in MCAS.
    If you have any data from a snapshot report / log collector you will see the user names are anonymized.
    It has no effect on the activity log.
