Governance rules by resource tag

Would resource tag actually work in governance rule? If I specify the owner with a specific resource tag, e.g. secops team, does it actually send an email to my secops team? what is the actually effect of the governance rule if I am using the resource tag instead of email address of the owner? How do I make it work by using resource tags?

    Hello, By specifying the tag key, the governance rule reads the resource owner's name from the tag. If the tag value contains an alias that Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) can translate and lookup for the email address, the owner gets email notifications. Let me know f you have more questions.
