Unable to add vulnerability assessment solution (MDVM) to Windows 10 VM

Hello all, as part of transitioning from Qualys vulnerability management solution to built-in MDVM, I have followed steps provided by Microsoft (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/defender-for-cloud/how-to-transition-to-built-in) on few of the windows 10 VMs and I could see VMs status as "onboarded" on MDVM portal. 

However, I am getting the recommendation "Machines should have a vulnerability assessment solution" in the "Microsoft defender for cloud | Recommendations" section. I tried remediating this issue by applying the fix and choosing the below highlighted option in the portal. Even after applying this fix and waiting for suggested period, the VMs still appear under "unhealthy" section with the same vulnerability.

what could I be missing here? and what is the best way to troubleshoot this issue?
