Running Windows Defender to perform static analysis in a container
Hi all,
Is it possible to run Windows Defender in an offline containerized application? It seems possible because tools like Malice, MultiMalwareScan and VirusTotal can perform this. It's not clear to me if these programs only perform static analysis and perform hash lookups or somehow run the file against the AV engine where it also detects heuristics and such.
Can anyone point me to a resource that can help me understand this better or even help me build my own environment to perform such tasks?

Pretty sure you will need to enable Defender for Containers within your Tenancy to perform this
