Microsoft Defender for Endpoint 2 licences

Hi there,

I am confused on how these licences work. May I know if they are applied per user or per device? According to MS doc, "eligible Licensed Users may use Microsoft Defender for Endpoint on up to five concurrent devices" > https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/defender-endpoint/non-windows?view=o365-worldwide#licensing-requirements

However in a test Tenant I can see the following: 

We never assigned any license to a user directly.

Anyone can provide guidance?

    Defender for Endpoint is licensed on a per-user basis, but as you pointed out, each user can use up to 5 devices and get protection on those five devices.
    FYI: I cannot view the image that you attempted to upload from your test tenant, can you try again?
