Hello,
can anyone know about the license terms for MDATP subscription. also its trial is not accessing
- Joe StockerBronze ContributorFor every one MDATP license, you can use that on up to 5 computers. Each server needs a separate license (not by user). So to properly protect both clients and servers, at least two unique licenses are required, Windows 10 E5 (or a package) along with a MDATP for Servers license. When you say the trial is not accessible, please try this link instead: https://winatpregistration-prd.trafficmanager.net/UserAgreement?wt.mc_id=AID702266_QSG_245679&ocid=AID702266_QSG_245679

Hi faqahat,
At minimum, you need to have any of the below licensing:-
- Microsoft 365 A5
- Microsoft 365 E5,
- Microsoft 365 E5 Security,
- Windows 10 Enterprise E5
- Windows 10 Education A5.
ATP will work, if you have "Microsoft Defender For Endpoint" license. You can review how many licenses are used & how many licenses are still available by logging in Microsoft 365 Admin Center -> Licensing section.
Note:- Microsoft 365 E5 also covers Windows 10 Enterprise E5.
Also, once the license is procured, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) can be on-boarded to the following OS:-
- Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise
- Windows 7 SP1 Pro
- Windows 8.1 Enterprise
- Windows 8.1 Pro
- Windows 10 Enterprise
- Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC
- Windows 10 Education
- Windows 10 Pro
- Windows 10 Pro Education
- Windows server
- Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
- Windows Server 2012 R2
- Windows Server 2016
- Windows Server, version 1803 or later
- Windows Server 2019
- And also to Linux, Android, Mac.
