'Managed By' Column in MDE Portal
I'm working with an environment that has a number of devices with an "unknown" state in the "Managed By" column in the MDE portal. Are there any other potential causes for this, other than the device running an outdated version, a GPO conflict, or another MDM being in place? How would you go about troubleshooting this?

- mohamedalishahulBrass Contributor'Managed by' indicates how the devices are managed using configuration management tools like Intune, MECM(SCCM), MDE. if you are not using any of these tools or your devices are managed by 3rd party config mgmt tool or your devices are just onboarded, and didnt complete the device sync yet then in that case you may see "unknown" state. It's good idea to run MDE connectivity test in one of affected device to make sure communication between device and MDE cloud service is in place.
