Manage USB through MDE without Intune

Hello, Recently we have obtained Windows Defender for Endpoint 1 licenses, All the systems are onboarded and they are working fine, however i would like to configure Device control to manage the USBs devices, we dont have Intune license, I learned from somewhere that we will be able to create policies in MDE itself.  Not getting enought support online. Any one have idea how to configure? Please help.

    I believe you would have to use GPO if you do not have Intune for management.

      Thank you, i will try this. So there is no direct GUI method to manage USB in MDE?
