Firewall policy applied devices is blank

We have onboarded all devices through deployment script and we assigned Endpoint Security policies but we cannot see any statistics (Applied and Policy Settings status sections are empty) in the Firewall policy .(Policy Type = Windows Firewall) . We open a service request in Microsoft and the answer was that this is by design .
