Endpoint DLP Explicit Proxy

anyone have any experience setting up endpoint DLP when you leverage an explicit proxy?  One issue we are seeing currently in network events is that the only data shown for outgoing connections is our proxy address and not the true destination.  It this degrading out MDE service?   Endpoint DLP relies on network protection being enabled but how would that would with an existing proxy since it would proxy itself.
