Does Defender for Endpoint support Common AntiVirus Agent (CAVA) EM´C storage

Hello everyone,

 

for a special reson I'm searching for Information how Defender for Endpoint and which version support Common Antivirus Agent Interface, for example on EMC storage.

Here a short description about CAVA:

Common AntiVirus Agent (CAVA) provides an antivirus solution to clients using a NAS server. It uses an industry-standard SMB protocol in a Microsoft Windows Server environment.

 

Where do I find related documentation and in best case some settings?

    Hi , and thanks for your feedback. The server are running under Windows Server 2019. But is there a setup documentation available in special for the cava or earlier ICAP protocol.

    Hi, if you are talking about windows server 2008R2SP1/2012R2 and above then Defender for Endpoint will support.
