Device Discover - MDE AV Passive Mode
Does device discovery work when the endpoint has MDE antivirus set to passive mode?
- Once device is onboarded to MDE, discovery data would be captured irrespective of Anti-virus mode.
- As far as I know there is no bearing on device discovery from an AV status perspective. The discovery should work regardless as it sends out probe in the network to discover objects regardless of the AV state. Are you experiencing any issues?
- No we have not tested this yet, I was asked about this in a recent meeting and could not find any information in the documentation
