Defender Web Content filtering for Chrome/Firefox
Magson Network protection does not currently support SSL inspection, which might result in some sites being allowed by web content filtering that would normally be blocked.
add the below two regkey on your devices :

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/defender-csp#configurationdisabledns...

We have a similar problem. It looks like those registry setting have a similar effect to the browser setting changes recommended from this article:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-endpoint/network-protection#required-browser-configuration
Is that correct?
However, these settings reduce browser security which is more important than web filtering. We need to keep using more than one browser, so it appears there is still no good solution for this problem. Web filtering is fine in Edge, but is unreliable in Chrome and Firefox. We need a way for Defender to be able to read the SSL site without compromising security.

Hi, and thank you kindly for this info. These do not look like regular reg keys. Can I ask, how is this config delivered? Is it via intune?- Oct 10, 2023Yes, you can create a custom config profile and add those keys to apply on your devices
./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Defender/Configuration/DisableHttpParsing
./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Defender/Configuration/DisableDnsOverTcpParsing
