Defender for Endpoint - Phone Support
Hi everyone,
The company I work for is looking at modern EDR options. A sales rep who was presenting options recently told our security team that if we go with Defender for Endpoint that Microsoft will only provide escalated phone support for two versions behind what's current. This didn't sound right at all to me and according to the supported versions page I see a large list of supported operating systems.
Can someone please confirm if this is true or false? is this as simple as if it's listed in the supported versions list we'd be able to get phone support? Minimum requirements for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint | Microsoft Learn

Microsoft will online support whats listed here
Phone, Email or otherwise. If the OS isnt listed there they wont support it, or they will recommend you upgrade to a more modern OS
