Defender for Endpoint - Name Change
Is changing the machine and domain name directly in the Defender for Endpoint console possible?

- What are you trying to do with this? If it were me, I would expect the data in MDE to reflect the actual state of the endpoints, why would you want to change machine name/domain in MDE? Do you mean you want to change the machine name in MDE and have the endpoint then proceed to change its name?
- That's not the issue.The issue is that the local machine reports a name and the Defender for Endpoint console reports another name.Leave this case alone, I have already confirmed with Microsoft that changing the name on the console directly is not possible today.thank you all.

No, not at this time, theres a 180 day half-life for machines that register in MDE
After that time you will see the machine disappear
