Defender endpoint business new setup
Hello, so i am going to swap bitdefender endpoint for microsoft defender endpoint for business.
I bought 11 licenses and 2 server licenses.
In the ms portal i created an admin user and assigned a license to it.
Now i was redirected to the security portal where i made a local install package to enroll my server.
Now the server is enrolled in the security hub, but now what?
How does the server and security hub know what license to use?
The only place i have the microsoft user is online but we use a local AD and we dont have office 365 so no microsoft account is logged in on the server or clients, so how does the portal know which license to use when i install the enrollment package?
also i can not see anything on the server that defender is running or anything about status so i dont even know if it is running?
In the portal it says:
"Defender engine version
1.1.24070.3"
so atleast defender engine seems to be running.
I cannot find any information on ms sites on how to assign a license to an enrolled server or what am i missing?
