Defender ATP Performance Issues

We on-boarded around 20 machines on Defender ATP but we have noticed CPU increase by 15% for Windows Security Event Log after every 2 hour or so and drive activity hits 100 percent as well along with read activity at 100MB/sec of the Security Event file. Is this an expected behaviour or is there a setting which can be tweaked to not have these issues ?

    Kashif_Zarif Do you have scan policies set? There are options to set the specific CPU percentage on the policies
