Compatibility with OpenSUSE Linux
The documentation states that Defender for Endpoint is compatible with "SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 or higher", and I recognize that it also states that "Distributions and version that are not explicitly listed are unsupported (even if they are derived from the officially supported distributions)." so I want to ask about the state of affairs with OpenSUSE Linux. Specifically:
Will it be supported in the near future?
Is it "perfectly safe to use but technically unsupported"?
Or is it seriously problematic to use Defender on OpenSUSE?
I ask because I have an important use case for EDR on SUSELinux and want to see if Microsoft is an option here.
Thank you!
Kyrouz even though it's not officially supported, if it's based on SUSE and the hardware is based on x64, then more than likely MDE for Linux would run on OpenSUSE. The caveat is, if opening support cases, the Microsoft CSS Support team might ask if it reproduces on a supported OS, such as SUSE. Thx.

- KyrouzCopper ContributorAn update - a colleague of mine found a package you can download at https://packages.microsoft.com/config/, implying that it is supported in some fashion.
