Move to O365 and Add PST files to outlook
Hello
we have an On Perm Exchange 2010 , we are planning to use O365 instead
we have 100 mailboxes and lest than 10 Public Folders.
In order to plan for migration , I was thinking to create users and O365 Groups(instead of Public Folders). and instead of uploading mailboxes and public folders , just export them to PST file and add them to each user's outlook so that they can see the old emails . and send/receive emails on their new mailbox. Now I was wondering if this solution makes sense and it would work?
hntaurus It does make sense, although this migration method requires some manual work. You can export mailboxes to PST, using the New-MailboxExportRequest (here's more information about this method) and then use the Outlook import tool, or upload them to Azure storage.
