Windows 11 Virtualization Based Security and Hyperthreading
Hello community,
back in the days of the Spectre and Meltdown family of vulnerabilities, we were given the guidance to disable HyperThreading (HT) for system with Virtualization Based Security (VBS) enabled to mitigate them: Windows guidance to protect against speculative execution side-channel vulnerabilities (microsoft.co... see mitigation C.
It was some time ago.
Now, somebody do knows if it's changed something in between? Windows 11 should have a new scheduler to be able to work with Adler Lake architecture.
It will be beneficial to know if and when this mitigations should also apply to Windows 11 or not, or if its something silicon-dependent.
