Microsoft Account Is Showing Up As Not Existing (Hacked/Deleted?)

I cant sign into my minecraft/microsoft account, it says that there is no microsoft account by my email despite me play minecraft with it the day before. Im sure that it was that email and I even have the reciept, it could either be a glitched or someone hacked it. If possible if this account is comprimised could I switch the minecraft account to another Microsoft account, or js be able to recovery my account. There is pretty much nothing on the account but minecraft.

Posting a reply here as I am unable to create a new thread.
My second account also got hacked. There seems to be another alternate email address set in it (ending with .ru). I tried the sign in helper but still can't recover my account. Is there anyway to delete that account an create a new one with the email.
How come I cannot use my primary email account to verify login? My only option is to use the alternate email account which doesn't make sense.

  • Hi, sorry you are dealing with that. If the sign-in page says the Microsoft account does not exist, it can mean the alias was changed, the account was closed, or you are trying a different email than the one currently attached.

Start with Microsoft's account recovery and username recovery pages, and secure the email account you used for receipts in case someone got into that first. Also search your email for Microsoft security notices, alias-change messages, Minecraft purchase receipts, and Xbox/Microsoft order numbers.

Minecraft ownership normally cannot just be moved to a different Microsoft account by the community, so you will probably need Microsoft/Minecraft support with the receipt or order ID. Do not post the receipt, key, full email address, or transaction details publicly. Keep those for the official support form only.

My Microsoft account, which was used to play Minecraft, was also compromised, and I have been following up with Microsoft Support regarding the matter. I have already raised two SIR requests and escalated the issue, but the response so far has been extremely disappointing.

I have been informed that the person who compromised the account enabled two-factor authentication, and that because of this, Microsoft can only suspend the account and cannot restore access to the legitimate owner.

What is particularly difficult to understand is that I have provided the original Minecraft purchase details, including the purchase order, receipts, and invoice information. If Microsoft can verify the legitimate purchase and ownership of the game through these records, I do not understand why the Minecraft entitlement cannot be restored or transferred to another Microsoft account belonging to the legitimate purchaser.

I fully appreciate the need for strong security measures. However, in a confirmed account-compromise situation, there should also be a meaningful process to protect legitimate customers who can provide historical purchase and ownership evidence.

The current experience is extremely frustrating and, frankly, leaves customers questioning whether there is any effective remedy when an account is taken over. I am not suggesting that Microsoft is intentionally acting improperly, but the lack of a practical recovery option, even when legitimate purchase documentation is available, understandably creates a great deal of distrust.

I hope Microsoft will review this matter from the perspective of the genuine customer and consider whether there is a way to restore the purchased Minecraft entitlement without compromising account-security procedures.

I would appreciate a proper review by a senior account-security or customer-support team rather than simply closing or suspending the account.
