difference between "Retention off" and "Retention on + Leave the content as is"

NaturelDragon I found one difference. It is not possile to check the Use label to classify content as a "Record" if the "Retention" button is not enabled.
The bigger difference is that any label with "retention on" actually ensures the item is preserved for the duration defined. With "retention off", this is not guaranteed and users can potentially delete such items.
