What happens to user's proxyAddresses when custom domain is removed
Assume tenant has two custom domains xyz.com and mnp.com. There are two users as below. Name: Bob John, UPN: bob@xyz.com Email/Primary SMTP address: mailto:bob@xyz.com ProxyAddresses: smtp:mailto...
- You cannot remove the domain *before* removing any properties where it's being referenced, including UPN and proxyaddresses, so you have to make those changes before you attempt the removal. Including setting a new primary SMTP where needed.
