View service account passwords

I have many service accounts (not managed service accounts) in my AD.  There is a need to retrieve the password from time to time if its needed.  I like how LAPS stores local admin account passwords and allows you to retrieve these.

Wondering if there is a solution similar to LAPS the we can apply to accounts considered a service account or do i need to look at some kind of 3rd party password vault solution?
