Understand Why a Service Principal Was Created in Your Entra Tenant

Hi milgo, this is a very useful area because service principals often appear after consent, app deployment, gallery app setup, or admin-driven automation, and the reason is not always obvious later. The first places I would check are Entra audit logs, enterprise app created date, app owner, consent events, and any related Graph or Azure activity around the same timestamp. A built-in explanation view that links creation, consent, owner, and initiating user would save a lot of investigation time for tenant admins.
