Are there any plans to make Active Directory objects writable via Graph API in hybrid environments?

We're planning to develop a mobile team management app that allows us to manage certain aspects of user and team information. One aspect of this is a room management system, where user can sign in and out of rooms they are currently working in, using the NFC readers on their phone and a tag on each door.

With Graph API this would be extremely easy to do. However, we have a hybrid environment with AD Connect and updating the officeLocation attribute through Graph API fails, because there is no attribute write-back.

Are there any plans to enhance Azure AD and specifically AD Connect to allow for user attribute write-back to Active Directory?
