Application Owners Pushback to Entra
Hi All
I'm running an Entra ID integration and facing a pushback from Application owners to migrate
Does anyone have a punchy deck to get the App owners back onboard and willing to migrate
Any support is greatly appreciated
Best regards Brian

When presenting Entra ID integration to application owners, the key is to position it as an enabler rather than a burden. The message should start by highlighting the value it brings to them: simplified access management, faster user onboarding, and reduced helpdesk tickets for password resets or access issues. By integrating with Entra, owners can focus on running and improving their applications while identity and security are managed centrally.
Security is another angle that resonates strongly. Once an app is integrated, it automatically benefits from Conditional Access, MFA, and Identity Protection without the owner having to redesign or build new security layers. Integration is straightforward, thanks to broad support for standards like SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM, as well as ready-made templates in the Entra gallery that reduce setup time from weeks to hours. Owners also retain authority over who gets access, but the burden of enforcement and governance is handled through Entra, making audits and compliance checks much easier.
It’s also important to explain the risks of staying out. Applications left outside Entra create fragmented access models, inconsistent security controls, and bigger headaches during audits or incidents. A simple case study, such as how another app was quickly integrated and experienced fewer access issues and faster compliance approval, can make the benefits more concrete. The conclusion should be clear: integrating into Entra is the best way to modernize identity, protect apps, and reduce operational overhead. MS Support is already in place to ensure a smooth process.
