Check-in notes in OKR

Got an interesting question, I've had an ask on what's considered best practice in this situation. When coming to closing off an OKR at the end of a time period and they want to copy accross the objective to the next time period do the notes/comments get copied accross? Not sure if they do when cloning?

  • Hello,
You are correct - the best practice we often recommend is to close the OKR at the end of the period and clone if you want to keep working on it / you have the same objective with modified KRs. The cloned OKR counts as a new OKR, meaning the notes/comments do not get copied across.

If you would like to keep the notes, the other option is to extend the time period of the objective. The downside of doing it is that you miss out on the "forcing" function to stop and reflect.
