Best practice for permanent KPI tracking in Viva Goals

This is useful for data visualization, thank you.
However, I'm still looking for feedback on how other companies "store" KPIs within Viva Goals.
Specifically, KPIs that are not (currently) tied to an OKR.
For example, a Key Result (KPI) can only be created under an objective: do people create an objective named "KPIs" and create KPIs as Key Results under it?

Since KPIs can only be tied to a key result, we have seen other organizations usually group the KPIs under an objective and provide that objective with a logical name for the group of such KPIs. Example, there can be several categories of KPIs (created as key results) grouped under different objectives called - Strategic KPIs, Operations, Business critical, etc.
