MSIgnite 2020 Recap Resources
A huge thank you to everyone that attended my presentation summarising some of the news events from Microsoft Ignite 2020. If you are looking for more information about the announcements here are some resources.
Azure Automanage
Simply the management of your virtual machines with Azure Automanage! For more information check out the announcement for more information.
Azure VMware Solution
The Azure VMware Solution (AVS) is now generally available allowing customers the change to move the VMware based workloads into the Azure and take advantage of Azure's scale. For more information check out the announcement for more information.
Azure Arc
Azure Arc helps you to manage your multi cloud environments using Azure! The Azure Arc for Servers capability went generally available at Microsoft Ignite. For more information check out the announcement for more information.
Azure Backup Centre
The new Azure Backup Centre allows you to manage, monitor and govern your backups within one place. For more information check out the announcement for more information.
Security Centre Multi Cloud
You can now bring your AWS and GCP alerts into Azure Security Centre to monitor your multi cloud environment from one place. For more information check out the announcement for more information.
Azure Hybrid Benefit Linux
Customers now have the ability to take their licenses from on prem licenses for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and use them in Azure. For more information check out the announcement for more information.
Cross Region load balancing
The Azure Load Balancer now has the capability to distribute your traffic cross-region. For more information check out the announcement for more information.
Windows Admin Centre
The familiar interface we are all used to now is now built into the Azure portal, allows you to manage your Azure IaaS virtual machines seemlessly. For more information check out the announcement for more information.
M365 Lighthouse
Managing multiple M365 environments can often be time consuming, however with the new lighthouse service you can manage everything from one place. For more information check out the announcement for more information.

Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams has become a large part of our everyday lives, especially in 2020, and the product team announced a whole host of new features coming to the product soon. For more information check out the announcement for more information.
Windows Terminal
A new preview version of Windows Terminal was released during Ignite which now allows you to actually click on hyperlinks generated within the terminal! For more information check out click here.
Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) 2
Also announced at Ignite was that WSL 2 is now compatible within some older versions of Windows 10, version 1903 and 1909.
