General question about browser sign-in with Windows Hello for Business
If Windows Hello for Business (passwordless) is setup correctly on my Windows Laptop, then am I able to sign-in into a browser session without needing a password? (How to sign in here with ...

Click Sign in options and you should see the option to use FIDO2 Security Key or WHFB.

JonasBack this is what I see:
If I click on "Sign in with a security key" (WHfB is not mentioned, but I assume that's where it should be):
Then I selected the built-in sensor (I assume that the TPM chip is meant here). I get a selection of the accounts on my device:
I choose the company account and I'm prompted to input my WHfB PIN:
And then it fails in the last step:
Is this how it should work?

Does it happen on non-InPrivate mode window too?
Is your Windows Hello for Business properly set up?Are you signed into Windows with the same M365 account that you set up WHFB for?
- KirilJan 11, 2023Iron ContributorYes, it's the same on non-InPrivate. What's the best way to verify if it's properly set up? We followed all the instructions, and did not encounter any errors.
- HotCakeXJan 11, 2023MVPSorry I don't have that information right now but personal Windows Hello sign in (with Microsoft account in Edge) has always worked on my Windows 11 PC. I'd look into a policy that might be interfering or maybe try on another device too.
