How to multiply columns in excel
I'm looking to get totals in my report by multiplying columns in excel. But NOT with a constant number. The value of the numbers is different for each line.
Your request is more than a little confusing, I'm afraid.
Totals are the result of adding, yet you are talking of multiplying (which yields "products").
And multiplying is actually fairly easy (=A1*B1, for example), and a formula like that could be copied down row after row, using different variables in each case (whatever is in A2 by whatever is in B2).
So could I suggest you post a copy of the workbook you're using, with a bit more of an explanation of the desired result.
