Saving directly to Teams from Office apps - Inconsistencies

Folks, quick question...On PC and MAC’s when you try to save a file from an Office app to Teams, some Teams will show when you go to save a file, but some Team sites don’t show.  Even if we have “Followed” the site or if it shows on SharePoint as a “frequent” site.  Does anyone know why this inconsistent behavior occurs?

AgustinDel Yes, I find this behavior all around M365 honestly. For example, attaching/linking files from SharePoint to an email via the Outlook web app.

Sometimes the site you're looking for is there, sometimes it's not.  It's a 50/50 on whether Microsoft's AI will surface the site you need when trying to link to a SharePoint file.

I would strongly prefer if they just gave us the full list of sites everywhere.  Maybe that's in the long-term plans.

Hi, unfortunately i don´t have any solution but stumbled accross this behaviour a few days earlier myself, when users asked me.

I am absolutely "astonished" that the "Save as" area does not show all the sites / teams you participate in and that there is NO possible way to search or browse.

I am wondering though if this always was the case and got changed at some point.

Even worse that you cannot control the teams shown in "i follow" - some are shown right from the start (private channels) - some you can add directly in Sharepoint (mark them as favorites) but it needs about 24h to sync with the Office Apps. If it would at least consider channels which i "pin" within teams, but even thats not the case

    definitely not satisfying ...

    Cheers
