Questions related to SharePoint as content-source (in Viva Learning)
Hi all
I have managed to configure SharePoint (SPO) as a content source in Viva Leanning (VL). After a few weeks (!) of trial and error it finally works on a test-tenant.
This however raises a few questions I havent been able to figure out or make work.
Question 1.
Is possible to add a thumbnail to the "course tile" (my word) as below.
LinkedIN-learning can have a nice picture, but can .ppt or a video have the same?
Question 2:
Is it possible to change the language of a piece of Learning Content (see picture marked w green below) - and if yes; where?
Any help and guidance is appreciated 🙏

- Ad_de_Roo1280Copper ContributorI found this YouTube link very helpfull in sorting out the thumbnail challenge:

I too cannot change the language, new articles always seem to default to English (United States), although my SharePoint and articles are all in my language (Dutch). So far seems to bee a bug... - John_Mighell
Microsoft
Yes you can add a thumbnail by adding a "ThumbnailWebUrl" column to the stored sharepoint object's metadata. See the instructions in the docs here for details: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/learning/configure-sharepoint-content-source?view=o365-worldwide#metadata
I'm not sure if you can edit the language. Checking on that - will respond back.- gdackermBrass Contributor
John_Mighell that reference you supplied for the thumbnail is insufficient to make it work. Following this instruction, I have been unable to get this to work. The URL is a public link using my OneDrive folder with a 500x500 jpeg file. I have also tried a 50x50 png file with no luck. I think that the page you referenced could do with more detail on the file type and size of the thumbnail

Hey John_Mighell did you find an answer on the "languages metadata" (see above)
And can you provide an URL for thumbnails that you positively knows works - then I can try w. that and see If I can make it work.
