Safeguard data on third-party collaboration platforms

I am exploring options to safeguard sensitive data in third-party collaboration platforms like GitHub and Confluence.

Does Microsoft Purview provide any native integration for these platforms?
Do I need to rely on third-party connectors/integrations to extend Purview’s capabilities into these environments?

  • GitHub and Confluence are not listed among the natively supported data sources for scanning, classification, or policy enforcement in the Purview Data Map. You might need to rely on the 3rd party connectors and may require more investigation into what exactly they can support

Here is a list of existing data connectors that are supported-https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/archive-third-party-data

Thanks for replying. I was exploring the option of connecting these SaaS apps with Defender for cloud apps. As we have an option to apply DLP and other policies in Defender for Cloud Apps as well. Can we consider this option to have some Data security policies in place for these apps and what level of Data security can be achieved by this method?
