Importación de términos en un glosario (tipo clásico) con metadatos de tipo entero

Buenas tardes.

Estamos haciendo una importación de términos mediante archivo CSV en un glosario (tipo clásico).

Dicho CSV usa Plantillas personalizadas con metadatos que tenemos definidos como enteros, metadatos como Precisión y Longitud. El problema nos viene cuando importamos dichos metadatos (como son opcionales ) y en el fichero viajan en blanco... Purview nos asigna a dichos metadatos el valor de cero. Es decir que en ausencia de valor, le pone un cero. Lo cual no es lo que buscamos. Tampoco podemos modificar el metadato del término una vez importado ya que a pesar de que lo dejamos en blanco al guardar el término le vuelve a asignar el valor de cero. Alguien mas ha tenido esa problemática?

He leido que la forma de solucionarlo es definiendo aquellos metadatos que son opcionales de tipo String, que es un tipo de dato que acepta valores nulos.

    Hello anmarmon,

    Thanks for sharing this. With Business Glossary CSV imports in Microsoft Purview, numeric custom attributes could normalize empty values during import, which in turn could result in a default value being applied. Because of this, it isn't possible to reliably differentiate between an explicitly provided value of 0 and a value that was left unspecified when using integer attributes.

    Given that behavior, the more workable patterns today tend to be:

    • defining the attribute as a string when the value is optional, or
    • using an explicit, agreed-upon placeholder value for numeric fields and documenting its meaning.

    So yes — modeling optional numeric metadata as strings, or using clearly defined alternative values, might be the way to go in this scenario. Thanks again for calling it out and sharing your findings.
