Outlook on Android

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but can't find 'ask a question' in the community groups!  I've been getting loads of spam lately and I want to block the sender.  The option is greyed out on my phone and doesn't appear to be away to get it 'ungreyed'.  I can do it on the PC no problem.  Any suggestions or point me in the right direction.  Thanks.

Thank you.  Seems strange that they haven't come up with a plan to do this yet.  I have sent feedback as well.

  • hi angelamark  You’re right — the Block sender option in the Outlook mobile app (Android/iOS) is currently limited. It’s greyed out because the mobile app doesn’t yet support direct blocking; that feature is only available in the Outlook desktop or web versions.

    As a workaround, you can:

Open Outlook on the web (https://outlook.office.com) → select the message → Block or Report phishing/junk from the toolbar.

The block will then sync across all devices, including your Android app.

You can also add rules or junk mail filters from the web version for more control.

Hopefully Microsoft adds this feature to the Android app soon — it’s a common request in the feedback hub!
