Copilot repeatedly gave wrong specs and led me to buy a watch under false info
I am writing to formally report an issue involving incorrect and repeated misinformation provided to me by Copilot during my recent interactions.
Over the past two days, Copilot repeatedly informed me that the Citizen BN0220-16E wristwatch features a sapphire crystal. This information was stated multiple times and presented as a confirmed specification. Based on this repeated assurance, I proceeded to purchase the product for approximately €300.
After receiving the official specifications from Citizen, I discovered that the BN0220-16E does not have a sapphire crystal. It has a mineral crystal. Copilot later acknowledged that the information it provided was incorrect.
This repeated misinformation directly influenced my purchasing decision and resulted in financial loss and significant frustration. I am submitting this report so that Microsoft is aware of the issue and can review the behavior that led to this incorrect guidance.
