Data collection endpoint in Azure monitor

We have configured data collection rules in Azure monitor to install the Azure monitor agent (AMA) and collect the events logs from Azure VMs. We have set up the data collection endpoint in the Data Collection Rules and included DCE in the Azure Monitor Private Link Scopes so that traffic route over privately not publicly. Despite this configuration, logs are not being ingested into the centralized Log Analytics workspace.  

We are using third party proxy in the VMs'. We've observed the proxy is blocking the traffic to a couple of URLs belongs to log analytics workspace but why traffic is going over the proxy, isn't this a internal traffic. Any thoughts?

      Thats correct third-party proxy in our VM is intercepting the traffic but question is why the agent traffic is being routed over the proxy? isn't this a internal traffic Azure to Azure(service to service? Proxy will come in to the seen if the traffic is external
