1. They are mostly backend-focused
• These builds often include bug fixes, security improvements, performance enhancements, and stability updates.
• UI changes are not always included in preview releases.
2. Feature rollouts are controlled
• Any new features (including Start menu or Taskbar updates) are often:
• Rolled out gradually
• Hidden behind feature flags
• Enabled only for specific Insider rings or regions
3. 25H2 is still under active development
• Microsoft is still validating features for stability and enterprise readiness.
• That’s why visual or functional changes may not appear immediately.
4. .NET Framework Preview Update (KB5067931)
• Mainly focuses on:
• Security patches
• Reliability improvements
• App compatibility fixes
• These changes work “in the background” and don’t typically change the UI.
5. KB5067036 (Build 26200.7019)
• This is a cumulative preview update
• It generally includes:
• Internal OS fixes
• Driver improvements
• Shell/Explorer stability improvements
• Servicing stack enhancements

Check what actually changed

You can check:

1. Windows Update history
   Settings → Windows Update → Update history
2. Installed updates
   Control Panel → Programs → View installed updates
3. Event Viewer
• Look for success/failure messages after the update installation
4. Microsoft Release Notes
• These are usually updated later and sometimes only show high-level summaries

Important Note

Microsoft usually enables new visual features via Feature Experience Packs or specific enablement packages, not through regular preview cumulative updates. That’s why no new Start menu or prominent UI change is expected at this stage.

These preview updates are mainly focused on stability, security, and internal improvements. Visible UI or Start menu changes are usually part of feature enablement waves and not regular preview updates. Nothing is broken — this behavior is expected.
