Using Windows Hello interface for non windows accounts

hi coluccjj​ As per my knowledge, Currently, Windows Hello is designed primarily for Windows sign-in, Microsoft accounts, and compatible apps/websites that support FIDO2/WebAuthn authentication. This means:

You can’t directly use Windows Hello as an additional login factor for websites or services (like your bank) unless they explicitly support FIDO2 security keys or Windows Hello for Business.

Some banks or services support security keys (like YubiKey) that integrate with Windows Hello, but the website itself must support WebAuthn/FIDO2 for it to work.

So far, Microsoft hasn’t announced plans to allow Windows Hello directly as a second factor for arbitrary websites. The current approach is:

Use Windows Hello on your device for OS-level login.

Use FIDO2/WebAuthn keys (which can leverage Windows Hello biometrics) for supported web services.

Workaround: For websites that support FIDO2/WebAuthn, you can register your Windows Hello device as a security key. Then you can authenticate using your fingerprint or PIN on your device when logging into those services.
