Replies not showing up on discussion board
Hi all,
I have a problem I bumped into in excel and went to the excel discussion board to see if I could get help. I have had some answers that don't work and when I tried to reply to these people one out of maybe a dozen of my replies got published. None of them had personal info or bad mouthing or anything like this I am trying to figure out why they don't get published so I can solve the problem.
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards,
Larry

hi Sturmrider That does sound frustrating , especially when you’re just trying to follow up and get help.
A couple of things I’ve seen happen on Microsoft discussion boards (like Excel forums):
Sometimes replies get held for moderation (especially for newer accounts or if you post multiple replies quickly)
There can be spam filters that block posts with links, repeated content, or certain keywords
Occasionally it’s just a temporary glitch with the platform where replies don’t get published properly
If only 1 out of many replies showed up, moderation or filtering is the most likely reason.
Things you can try
Post shorter replies (avoid links or special formatting)
Wait a bit between replies instead of posting many at once
Check if your post appears after some time (in case it’s pending approval)
Try a different browser or sign out/in
If it keeps happening, you could reach out via the forum support or check with moderators on the Microsoft Tech Community.
Short answer:
It’s usually moderation or spam filtering , not something you did wrong.
