Hi Allen, I am having the same issue. Regardless of the screen size there needs to be an option to move/hide/minimise. This is making the site unusable for me. Here are my settings.
Dropping the Scale to 125% or even 100% makes the sidebar shrink and makes it less of an issue. Regardless I would suggest an option to move to the right or hide would be a step forward.
