MTC is getting ridiculously slow

It takes a minute for a page to load today, what's going on? I know some people (me included) have been complaining about the performance for a while now, is anything being done about it?

Yes that's right i meant the whole MTC. even refreshing my profile page takes nearly 10 seconds.

Hi,

personally, I must say, I gave up to believe that this forum in general will increase in speed. Just now, before writing this post at 17:45 local time in (West) Germany, I was checking my favourites and the speed is very slow. Takes about 10 seconds to load the pages.

    I see this thread is quite old at this point, but the site is unbearably slow in May 2020 - not sure what happened in November to fix things, but please do it again!

    Yes today i felt the increased speed in load times almost everywhere, it was significant, hard to miss!

    So some of the problems with page load time may also be related to the Elastic search issue I was telling you about on that other thread, it's off at the moment, is it any quicker?

     

    Do not use the homepage to test.. It was running slow due to an unrelated problem which we patched yesterday by removing the users online component from the homepage while we do some testing on a longer term fix.

    Hi all,

     

    Thank you for the extra feedback, some pages are loading a little slower than we would like. The average time for the homepage to load is 5s while the profile page is 8s.

    We are working through some code refactors to see if we can optimize the code still further, however we need to make some infrastructure changes - which are expected early in the new year - to help things more significantly.

    I genuinely appreciate the feedback and as soon as I have more of an update I will be sure to reply.
