Thank you for getting back to me to this is actually a Personal Computer of mine not a work one

  • hi FluffyMan  This error 0x8007052e is a login/authentication error  it basically means Windows can't verify your credentials when trying to sign in through Edge.

Here are the most common fixes to try:

    1.Check your Windows account password

If your Windows password recently changed, Edge may still be using the old one. Go to Settings → Accounts and make sure everything is up to date.

    2.Clear Edge credentials

Open Edge → Settings → Passwords

Remove any saved Microsoft account logins and try signing in fresh

    3.Clear Edge cache and cookies

Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete in Edge

Clear cookies, cached data, and signed-in data, then restart Edge

    4.Check Windows Credential Manager

Search "Credential Manager" in the Start menu

    Go to Windows Credentials

Remove any old Microsoft or Edge entries, then try logging in again

5.Try signing out of Edge completely

Edge Settings → your profile picture → Sign out

Restart Edge and sign back in

If none of these work, it may be a deeper Windows domain/network policy issue  worth checking with your IT team if this is a work PC.
