Likes don't seem to work unless you click in to the conversation

Question

I've noticed that I can't Like a post here unless I click all the way down into the specific conversation. Is there a reason it is set up this way? or is it a bug? I suspect it is supressing engagement as many people would not engage in two or three clicks from the home page just to like something.

I asked about this earlier. It's a genuine issue for me. If a post is brief enough that I see the whole thing, or a reply is brief and cogent... I need to click multiple times to show my appreciation with a Like?

I was wondering the same thing! Thanks for mentioning this now I know it's not my laptop that was broke.
