hi ThisMyHPProBookAndHPElitebook Ideally you should contact hp support or windows contact. Here with I am sharing my earlier similar experience.
On HP ProBook 430 G7 laptops, this kind of black screen flicker especially after a fresh Windows 11 install is almost always related to the graphics driver or display pipeline, not a hardware defect.
Here are the steps , you can try
1) Boot into Safe Mode first
This helps isolate if the flickering is driver related:
Hold Shift → Restart
Choose Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Settings
Press 4 to enter Safe Mode
If the screen is stable in Safe Mode → this confirms a driver/adapter issue.
2) Uninstall the Display Driver
In Safe Mode, open Device Manager
Win + X → Device Manager
Expand Display adapters
Right-click Intel UHD Graphics → Uninstall device
Check “Delete the driver software for this device”
Restart normally
Windows will load a basic display driver. This often stops the flickering immediately.
3) Install the RIGHT driver from HP
Do not use generic drivers from Windows Update or Intel’s site — they often cause flickering on HP laptops.
Official HP drivers (most reliable):
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers
Search for:
Model: HP ProBook 430 G7
OS: Windows 11
Install:
Intel Graphics driver
Optional: Chipset / BIOS updates
Restart after install.
Quick fixes worth trying
Win + Ctrl + Shift + B - refreshes the graphics stack
Disable Adaptive brightness
Settings → System → Display → turn off
If flicker only happens after login, try booting with External monitor connected to rule out panel issues
