How to trace Viva Insight history / log ?
Hello everyone,
We have encountered an issue where a user appears to have sent an email without being aware of it. Upon further investigation, it was identified that the client used was Outlook Classic. When reviewing the case, we suspect that the email activity may have been triggered by the Viva Insights “Schedule Send” feature.
Therefore, we would like to confirm whether it is possible to view the history or logs related to Viva Insights activities.

Hi there,
Unfortunately, there is no direct, user-facing "history log" inside Viva Insights to track past automated actions like Schedule Send. However, since Viva Insights triggers these emails via cloud APIs on behalf of the user, you can easily trace this by running an Exchange Mailbox Audit Log or a Message Tracking Report in the Exchange Admin Center (EAC).
When you review the log details, look closely at the ClientInfoString or AppID columns. Emails sent directly via the Outlook Classic desktop client will show standard desktop signatures, whereas an email triggered by Viva Insights will carry specific background identifiers (such as Client=REST or Exchange Web Services/REST API cloud signatures). This will tell you exactly whether a background service or the user triggered the send.
