Disk Partition Error

hi 2456_Nevermore Since the same task sequence works on your other Lenovo and Dell devices, I'd suspect something specific to the Latitude 3140 rather than the Win11 image itself.
Error 0x8004242C during the “Partition Disk 0 UEFI” step is commonly related to the disk not being in the state the task sequence expects, or to storage/controller differences on that particular model.
A few things I'd check:
- Boot the Latitude 3140 into WinPE and run diskpart → list disk to confirm the internal SSD is detected.
- Check the BIOS storage/controller settings and compare them with a Latitude 3140 that successfully images, if you have one.
- Make sure the task sequence is using UEFI/GPT partitioning rather than legacy/MBR.
- Check whether the 3140 is using a different storage controller or driver that isn't available in your WinPE environment.
- If BitLocker or existing partitions are present, make sure the task sequence is actually able to clean the disk before creating the new partitions.
Since it's failing specifically at the partitioning step, I'd focus on disk detection, BIOS storage mode, and WinPE storage drivers before changing the rest of the task sequence.
